Senior Choir

Senior Choir, for students in Years 3 - 6, will be commencing on Tuesday 6th February at lunchtime in the Performing Arts Room.
All senior students are welcome to come along and try out for a couple of weeks to see whether choir is for you. Below are some of the first songs
we'll be learning for the year.

A Million Dreams - The Greatest Showman

This is Me - The Greatest Showman

Moana - How Far I'll Go

During Term 4, the Senior Choir joined with Dingley Primary School and St Mark's Primary School at Braeside Park to perform 'Shine Together'
for Music: Count Us In 2017. Whilst learning the Auslan version we had to Listen with Understanding and Empathy - particularly as the students
who created the actions are hearing impaired and altered some of the signs to suit their own needs. We had to persist and strive for accuracy.
You can see how successful we were with our hand signs as well as our singing in the short excerpt of our performance below.

Here is the AUSLAN version of Shine Together. We are going to learn these hand signs to accompany this song.

The Senior Choir sang with St Mark's and Dingley Primary Schools at St Mark's in March. Below is the Senior Choir singing Another Day of Sun from La La Land.

Another Day of

Senior Choir Singalong with combined Dingley schools

The Senior Choir is for students in Years 3 to 6 and rehearses every Tuesday lunchtime at 1.00pm in the Performing Arts Room.

Our singing debut for 2016
was in March when we joined the Glee Club from St Marks and sang as part of the entertainment for the Walk For Monash Children's Hospital at Jells Park.

On Wednesday 15th June we joined with the Glee Clubs from  Dingley Primary and St Marks Primary at Dingley Primary School for a singalong. During the afternoon, each school showcased songs they had been learning and then we joined forces to sing some songs we had previously learnt, performing at Dingley Primary's school assembly. Below is the video of the Senior Choir performing at that get together.

Ain't No Mountain High

Kingswood, Dingley and St Marks are planning our next get together for Term Three.
This will be held at St Marks and we will be performing for some of the residents from Greenwood Manor.
